Converting images to PDF: what to know
When to turn images into a PDF
A single PDF is often easier to send, print, or upload than a folder of pictures. Typical uses are photographed receipts for an expense claim, phone scans of a signed form, screenshots that document a bug or a conversation, and pages of handwritten notes. Many application portals also accept only PDF uploads.
Page size and orientation
Choose A4 or Letter to get standard printable pages; each image is scaled down to fit inside the page while keeping its proportions. Orientation can follow each image automatically or be fixed to portrait or landscape. Fit to Image makes every page exactly the size of its picture, which avoids white borders and suits screenshots and photos that will only be viewed on screen.
Margin and order
The margin slider adds white space around each image, which looks cleaner when printed and keeps content away from the edge of the paper. Images become pages in the order shown, so arrange them before creating the PDF. JPEG and PNG images are supported.
Quality
Images are embedded as they are and are not recompressed, so the PDF keeps their original quality. That also means the PDF size is roughly the sum of the image sizes; if you need a smaller file, resize the images first with the Image Resizer.
Privacy
The PDF is built entirely in your browser. Your images are read from your device, placed on pages in memory, and the finished document is offered as a download. Nothing is uploaded, which matters for receipts, IDs, and other personal documents.
